Events in Bristol From 7th September – 13th September 2026

As a new week begins, you might be wondering what to do, and Bristol has plenty to offer. Live music is a big focus, with chances to see both well-known artists and up-and-coming bands. From established performers playing their hits to new acts experimenting with sound, there’s a strong emphasis on live music throughout the city. This week, check what’s on at venues like the Fleece and St George’s Hall, or find smaller gigs at the Louisiana and the Exchange. Beyond these concerts, you can also find a range of club nights and late-evening events. Expect everything from energetic pop nights and 80s music, to drum and bass events and celebrations for local soundsystems. There will be high-energy music and DJ competitions, as well as tribute performances where you can hear iconic bands from decades past, giving you a diverse musical experience. Several events are planned in the Stokes Croft area, known for its alternative scene, and you can also find options at Motion and Lakota. If you're looking for something different, the Bristol Old Vic continues its season with a fresh take on a classic play. For those wanting to meet people, there are meet-ups for conversation, often in cafes around Clifton Village or the Harbourside area. Plus, this week sees several events aimed at new university students, including social activities like bowling and themed music parties, marking the start of their time in the city. Check the listings below for specific times and locations. Consider transport options, like buses or Bristol Temple Meads railway station, especially if you’re travelling from outside the city, and be aware of potential congestion around the Harbourside.
